Completely Terrible

Things went horribly wrong. It was a real train wreck. We tried to {compensate|address the situation, but it was like trying to stop a blizzard with a cocktail stick. We're still picking up the shards and feeling the impact of this disaster.

This issue has spiraled out of control. It's a total disaster. We've tried just about everything to fix it, but nothing seems to be effective. At this point, it feels like we're hopelessly stuck. Frankly, I don't know what else to do. This is a nightmare of epic proportions.

That's So Cringe, It's Hilarious (In a Way)

Sometimes you find yourself face-to-face with situations so horrifically bad that you can't help but smile. It's like your brain tries to understand the sheer magnitude of destruction and just resigns itself to fate, opting for amusement as a coping strategy.

But then, you remember that it's not really actually that amusing. It's just plain terrible. And the laughter you were experiencing morphs into a groan.

In the end, you are left with a sense of confusion. You wonder about the nature of it all. Was this some kind of twisted art experiment?

Or were we just all part of a grand, cosmic prank?

A Disaster of Epic Proportions

The earthquake struck suddenly, destroying entire cities in its wake. Buildings collapsed like sandcastles, and more info the screams that erupted was deafening. Worst Day Ever

It all started with an case of bedhead hair. I couldn't figure it to look presentable. As I was running out the door, I trippedover and with a thud all over the carpet. To make matters worse, I was totally late for school.

I with no time to spare. My {boss|teacher|was absolutely furious. I tried to explain, but it was no use.

The rest of the day was even worse. seemed to conspire against me. I couldn'tthink straight.

By the time I reached my destination, I was physically and emotionally wiped out. This day, this terrible day will be forever remembered as a true disaster.

Things Went From Bad to Absolutely Terrible

It all started out badly with a simple mishap/incident/screw-up. But then it went from bad to absolutely terrible. A series/chain/cascade of unfortunate/awful/disastrous events unfolded/occurred/piled on top each other, leaving me feeling like I was in a nightmare/horror movie/comedy of errors. It's the kind of situation where you just want to throw your hands up.
